Newspapers in Education is a national program promoting literacy through the use of newspapers to support academic instruction. Newspapers provide real life connections to enhance your curriculum by providing local, national, and global awareness for students. Teachers can find support for all areas of the curriculum; provide students with a consumable tool for writing on or cutting, and make conversation connections to the home through current events.
Many newspaper sources can be located through the internet. Locally, The Daily Press provides curriculum guides and tabloids that can be ordered. Check out some of the following resources to find some of these valuable resources.
